Fire Fighters Saving Lives Every Way We Can!

In June 2009, our life went reeling when Kelie was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 40. Since that day, we have endured the treatments and side-effects one day at a time, cherishing every silver lining we could find. Our most rewarding times are those that we are contacted by friends who trust in our experiences having not just survived, but conquered the disease, as they face the familiar dark clouds on their own horizon and look to us for support.

Throughout our fight, we have always tried to bring comfort to others similarly affected in every small way we could including the Breast Cancer Awareness shirts worn by North Naples Firefighters in October, as well as our help welcoming the Pink Heals Tour 2010 to Mercato in order to raise money for local charities to assist women and their families in their own battles with cancer.

As firefighters, our business is protecting those in desperate times. If wearing a pink t-shirt to work or bringing pink fire trucks to town can help offer any degree of comfort to a woman and her husband or children, then we have succeeded.

At the end of the day, we, the employees of the North Naples Fire District, are strengthened with the knowledge that our efforts in this arena have touched countless lives.

Please mark September 25, 2010 on your calendar and show that you "Care Enough to Wear Pink" at the Mercato starting at 6 p.m. as the North Naples Professional Firefighters, Local 2297 welcomes the Pink Heals Tour 2010 to our area.

Donations can be made payable to North Naples Professional Fire Fighters. Please include "Pink Heals" in the memo line and mail to:
