The Next Firefighter Certification Program:

Applications will be accepted in person at the Edison State College Lee Campus, May 23rd through December 8th 2011, Monday - Friday ONLY. Applications that are not complete will Building B, Rooms 115B and B 117, on 9am - 4pm AND January 3rd through January 27, 2012 Applications that are not completed will not be accepted, and will be returned to you. If you are unable to apply in person please call 239-489-9392 OR 239-489-9108 for other options for submitting your application

The North Naples Edison State College Training Center is jointly operated by the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District and Edison State College.

 The 420 hour program held at North Naples Fire District Station 45 prepares students for certification as fire fighters in accordance with Florida Statute 633. The program is approved by the Division of State Fire Marshal, Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.

The content includes, but is not limited to, orientation to the fire service, fire alarms and communication, apparatus and equipment, fire behavior, portable extinguishers, fire streams, fundamentals of extinguishment, ladders, hoses, tools and equipment, forcible entry, salvage, overhaul, ventilation, rescue, protective breathing equipment, first responder, water supplies, principles of in-service inspections, safety, controlled burning, employability skills and first responder.

Tuesday       5 P.M. - 10 P.M.   Lecture
Thursday      5 P.M. - 10 P.M.   Lecture
Saturday      8 A.M. -   6 P.M.   Drill Days

Class runs for six months.
