The intent of this page is to assist local firefighters with having the most current weather and incident information. All websites listed on this page are accessible to the general public via the Internet:
Fire Weather KBMI (Keetch-Byram Drought Index Map: This is a tool which helps firefighters determine how dry things are compared to the rest of the State. This is very helpful in predicting and preparing for wildfire activity.

Fire Weather Forecasts: These forecasts are put together by the National Weather Service and posted in an easy to find format on the Division of Forestry Website. This is the same format that Commander Percival posts when there is a "Red Flag Warning". Select any of the listed forecasts from this page and it will direct you to the proper NOAA page for current information.

Probably the most useful tool available to emergency planing is the Florida Disaster Geo-Spatial Analysis Tool. In layman terms, this is a graphic interface map with icons to locate and provide details on current and developing incidents across the State of Florida and the entire Nation.

Satellite and vapor imagery are used to try and predict the movement of fires. There are many sites which provide this information, in this instance NOAA is the site being referred to:
